| Site Description
and Photo Gallery Several hundred meters above sea level, the splendid climate is warm throughout the year but without excessive humidity. Mollina offers small shops, banks and a medical centre. Antequera, now a bustling agricultural town, was once the capital of Spain and boasts some of the most magnificent Spanish and Moorish architecture in its historic buildings, including many Roman ruins. Also closeby are the Dolmen Caves, they consist of funerary constructions dating from 2500 BC. Discovered by a local gardener in 1905 at the edge of Antequera, they are now open to the public. |
